Permaculture & land care
Growing food, caring for the forest, managing water and waste — the everyday work of an eco-village.

Our main goal is to develop our permaculture garden and our natural buildings, and to shape the land into a self-sufficient eco-village. This work is shared by everyone who lives here.
Areas of work
- Organic gardening following permaculture principles: soil care, composting, seasonal planting
- Forestry and agroforestry: caring for the acacia forest, pruning, clearing and planting
- Fire protection: reducing wildfire risk through forest management — a vital skill in the Mediterranean
- Water management: collecting, saving and reusing water
- Waste management: zero-waste habits, composting and repair
These skills are at the heart of our ESC volunteering projects, and anyone staying with us can join in.
Small daily joys
Our hens give us small but very fresh eggs from spring onwards, the wild herbs of Kallidromo become teas and natural soaps, and every early summer we plant the vegetables of the season together.

Volunteering with the European Solidarity Corps
Live, learn and build with us for a few weeks or several months — fully funded for young people aged 18–30.

Stay with us
Join community life in the forest for a few days, a month or a whole season.

Community gatherings
Three- and four-day weekends in the forest, almost every month: yoga, hikes, hot springs, fire evenings and caring for the land together.
